FINISHED! Finally finished with all of it. With my term paper for my nursing class, with my final paper for my history class! I am done. I completed the bulk of my nursing paper over the weekend. Today, I just went back and added some more information in a couple of the sections of the paper. What a relief to be done with all of that work! I feel so good.
As I said, I turned in my last history paper today. We had a total of five of them during the semester. I have done really well in that class. The final for that class is Monday December 17th. I finish with finals just in time for the Christmas season crunch to hit.
On Monday, Preston and I had some food allergy testing done. They are referred to a "scratch" tests. They take a small plastic needle and poke a hole in your skin that has some food particles on it and see how you react. I was sure that neither of us had any food allergies, but as it turns out, we both have some mild to moderate food allergies. Who knew? The doctor believes that an abundance of these foods may contribute to our recurrent sinus infections. So, while we don't have to completely eliminate the foods that we are allergic to, we do have to watch how much of them we ingest.
So are you just dying to hear what we are allergic to? I thought so. Preston is allergic to peaches, pistachio, beef, chicken, fish, chocolate, almond, oat grain and wheat. I am allergic to coffee, beef, cantaloupe, mustard, peaches, peanuts, pistachio, soybean and spinach. Mind you, these are some of my favorite foods. I was eating peanut and mustard on a daily basis. And I love spinach...I know weird, but I absolutely love spinach. So please, do not alter your menu plans if I come to your house. I can still eat these foods, but it is probably not wise for me to eat these foods all day every day!
I think we are going to put up our Christmas tree tonight. We have the outside of our house decorated, but I have not done the tree yet because I have been focusing all of my energy on completing school work. Now I can start really thinking about Christmas.
