I've Got A Bone To Pick

I am a subscriber to People magazines daily email updates. There are quick blurb stories about celebrities (of course). Sometimes I read them, sometimes I don't. But here's what I saw when I opened my email this morning.

"Katie Holmes: Nicole's Pregnancy is 'Wonderful news'"

Let me get you up to speed in case you don't know. Nicole Kidman, married to Keith Urban is pregnant and just released the news this week. Katie Holmes is married to Tom Cruise, who is Nicole Kidman's ex-husband.

I am sure by now you are thinking, "So what's your point? What's your problem with that?"

Here's the deal. Of course Katie Holmes is going to say that Nicole's pregnancy is wonderful news. Do you seriously think that Katie Holmes is going to say "I think Nicole's pregnancy is horrible. She is going to be a horrible mother and I wish she would fall off the face of the earth!" So, why, may I ask, is it newsworthy that Katie Holmes said that Nicole's pregnancy is wonderful news? This is just ridiculous. Katie Holmes is not going to risk her reputation in the media by saying anything less that 'wonderful'. Do you see what I am saying. I mean, newsworthy stories are when celebrities slam each other in the media, like when Donald Trump and Martha Stewart were going at each other over her Apprentice spin off. Truthfully, I was most interested in the last story listed on the email which said,
"Vince Vaughn: I talk to Jennifer Aniston 'constantly'".

Wouldn't you agree that is a little more intriguing than the Katie Holmes story? I will say though, that Katie Holmes looked great in the picture that was on the story page.

Well, that pretty much takes care of my need to rant. I know it seems crazy that I can't find something really important to blog about, but, this gives you a peak into my mind. Yes, these are the things that run through this crazy mind of mine.

Oh, and by the way, I am still nervous about my anatomy class. I don't think I said that yet today.
