It's Like Pulling Teeth...

Actually, it is pulling teeth. I took Natalie to Dr. Crane today for a consultation. She needs to have three teeth pulled and we decided it would be best for her to be under sedation to have this done. Therefore, we needed an oral surgeon. Natalie cried when Dr. McAuliff wanted to look at her teeth, so you can only imagine the reaction we get when we talk about pulling teeth. We need to make room for her very large permanent teeth that are pushing their way in and hopefully, this will keep them from overcrowding and will reduce the amount of orthodontic work she will need in the future. All of this stuff really adds up! Thank God for insurance. Her appointment is set for 7 a.m. next Friday. It's a good thing I am usually an early riser anyway.

Speaking of rising early, I didn't do that this morning. I slept in. I got up at 6:30. It really felt good. I could have stayed in bed until seven, but I have kids to get to school and I have school myself. My normal wake up time is 5:08 am. Yes, you read that right, eight minutes after five. I get up, throw on my clothes and head up to my workout space to do my exercise. I usually finish by about 5:50 am and head downstairs to make coffee and 4 slices of bacon. I have to get that little bit of protein in after I lift or my muscles will just deteriorate. I try to be in the shower by six so that I am not in James' way when he gets ready for work. At seven, it is time to peel the kids away from morning cartoons and get them dressed, hair combed and teeth brushed. Once that's done, I pack Elliot's lunch. At 7:35, we are out the door and headed to Preston's school. So there you go. Now you know all about my morning routine and I really like routines.

Today is Angela's birthday. She is my sister-in-law (James' brother's wife). So, Happy Birthday Angela.

Carissa's Random Question
What was the last thing you purchased?
I bought gas about an hour ago. It really stinks to pay $2.91 for gas. What I would have really liked to have purchased with that money would be some new boots, or jeans, or some more bella stamps (it's an obsession that you may never understand).
Elliot's Quote of the Day
"She's the ker-ker."
Which being translated is she is the cooker.
