I took my mom to lunch at the "Grape Place" (Elli speak for the Olive Garden) for her birthday. We weren't able to go yesterday because she had an appointment. They are having their never ending pasta bowl right now. That is just a crazy amount of food. You get all you can eat salad, all you can eat bread and all you can eat pasta! I have never been able to eat more than the first serving of pasta, but it makes no sense to order the regular lunch portion of pasta, because it is more expensive than the same item in the "all-you-can-eat" version. Today, I was only able to eat about half of my fettuccine alfredo (which is what I always order). So, I will give you one good guess at what I am having for dinner.
Tomorrow is a big day for Natalie. Three teeth are coming out, whether they want to or not! I am trying to keep her as calm as possible about the situation. I am also trying to decide what I am going to do while she is having the procedure done. When I try to read in environments like a doctor's office, I get easily distracted and usually don't retain anything I read. I would have to read the same sentence over and over again, so I don't know that reading is a good idea. I thought about taking my laptop. I wonder if they have wireless Internet there. Does anyone have any suggestions for something to do while I am waiting? I think I will be there about an hour or hour and a half.
Preston is still doing well in school. Next week they are having a book fair at his school. I always loved book fairs when I was little. I really enjoyed reading. I know that comes as a shock to those of you who think I don't read at all. Preston likes books too. I am sure he will have quite a wish list when he comes home from school next week.
Preston has been telling me a story for a couple of days now and I am trying to figure out if it is true or not. Why don't you vote in the comments section? Here is the story. He came home the other day and told me that there were animals at his school and he saw an alligator. Today, in a more elaborate version he told to my mother, he said that he went to the cafeteria and there was a man with animals. The last animal this man pulled out was an alligator. My mom asked if it was a big alligator. Preston said it was a baby. He also said that they got to pet the alligator. So what do you think? Is he being serious?
Carissa's Challenge
Guess how much Preston's Book Fair wish list will be. I'll give a shout out to whoever has the closest guess next week.
My guess is about $42.00.
Preston's Quote of the Day
(I decided to give this to Preston today)
"I'm getting a dult tooth."
--his lower front tooth is growing in.

Well, let's see, I think Preston may be telling the truth about the animals . . . just not sure where the man came from with the alligator!
As far as his books are concerned, if he picks at least 7, that will probably add up to about $42 (at the average of $4.50 per book), bit since you picked that number, I will go with $37.50! Hugs, Aunt Pat
