Okay, you probably weren't expecting that title. My kids got new robes today and of course, they were eager to bathe and put their robes on this evening. Preston had his new pajama pants on under the robe and James and I couldn't help but be reminded of Hugh Hefner. He wore it as long as he could, then changed his clothes for church. When he got home from church, he immediately ran to his room to change back into his robe and pajama pants. Elliot had to get a boy's robe because there were no little girl robes at the store.
Speaking of Elliot, she has been sick since Sunday night. She had a fever and it has been on and off since Sunday night. I took her to the doctor on Tuesday morning and she has an infection in her throat and lungs. She is coughing like crazy and she sounds like a little smoker. James and I have been calling her Marge. With a hack like that, she could easily work in some dive of a diner, smacking gum and calling men honey.
I have been missing out on a lot the last couple of days due to Elli's illness. Luckily, I have been able to get to class, but I have missed Bible Study and I missed church tonight. I couldn't take her to church and have her getting all of the other little kids sick. I know that I don't appreciate it when people bring their sick kids to infect all of the rest of us.
I did manage to make a card tonight. I have been itching to get in my craft room and do my "thang", but I have been so busy lately, that I just haven't had the time. I think it turned out to be a total flop though (that is, by my standards). I just kept thinking, it needs something else, then I added the snowflakes on the right side and I think it went a little far. You can tell me what you think, but I am not really happy with it. It will probably be one of those that I send when I am in a rush and don't have time to make a better one.
I have a midterm in the "movie class" tomorrow. The midterm, unlike the quizzes, are not open book, so I decided that I should actually study. Although, I don't feel that there is really a lot of content to study. I have, however, seen more movies in that class than I have in the last year for pleasure.
I better go rescue my husband. He is waiting on me to watch our shows for tonight and he is watching random things. He started watching Waterworld with Kevin Costner, until I complained about him watching it AGAIN. How many times can they play that movie on television? I think James watches it every time it is on t.v. and I despise it (although I have never actually seen it). I can't stand movies with horrible backdrops through the whole thing. It's kind of like the kids' movie Happy Feet. The backdrop is white the whole time. I realize it is set in Antarctica, hence the white backdrop, but it just isn't interesting to stare at for two hours.
Wish me luck on my midterm!
Elliot's Quote of the Day
"When is James and Preston going to be home?"
---Yes, she called James, James.
I Hate It When...
My husband watches Waterworld and Quigly Down Under.
If either one is on any random station, he will manage to find it, watch it and drive me mad!

That card is very cute and would be perfect to send to anyone with a couple of tea bags or gourmet hot choc, as it makes me long for the cold weather to come! It seems that our winter only comes one day out of the year, I hope it last at least a week this year! lol. Hugs, Aunt Pat
