Procrastinator no longer! Thursday afternoon, following my midterm in nursing, I marched myself right over to the library (which they call some sort of "Learning Center" or something now) and began the process of gathering my sources for my term paper in my nursing class. I was thinking, after I had completed my work for the day, "Now this is something to blog about." I really am proud of myself for taking the first step towards getting this daunting project completed. I now have $8.00 worth of photocopies to show for my work (the photocopies are 10 cents each, luckily, I had a couple rolls of dimes laying around the house). Now all I have to do is read them and write the paper, which is on the Japanese Culture and their health and illness views, practices, diet, etc.
This afternoon, I did my assigned reading for my history class. We are now on to the Cold War. While I don't always enjoy reading all of the fine details about this events in history, I am enjoying the discovery process that comes as a result of understanding these historical events. I now understand where a lot of our modern systems and ideas originated and I understand better how my life is shaped by them. This is why history is important. It helps us understand who we are.
I don't have a lot of time to "dawdle" (I tell my children not to dawdle), so I will wrap this one up quick and hope to return tomorrow with some fantastic story of my day or some very inspiring words for you. Speaking of "words", have you checked out www.wordsinspired.com yet? I have a topic brewing in my mind that I will be posting. It is on a subject that God has been speaking to me about for the past year or so. The posts I have read thus far are wonderful and I hope that you are reading them and enjoying them!
Have a wonderful evening!
