Aaaahhhhh(sigh of relief)....Routine

Preston started back to school today after being off for a week of Fall intercession. As you will recall from last week, my normal routine was really upset by this week off of school for Preston. Now, I am happy to say that we are settled right back into our routine. I love routine. I love organization. I love order. Don't get me wrong, I can function, and often do, in chaos and disarray, but life is so much better when there is order. In fact, I believe very much so that we serve a God of order. He isn't random and chaotic, but organized and orderly.

Preston came home with a coin today and was happy to share that they have re-arranged the playground at his school and added a new bridge from one section to the other. He also stated that he was very happy to be back at school and that he had a good time today. Last week, he told me he didn't like school and that he didn't want to go back. How quickly he changed his tune today!

I feel I got a lot accomplished today. I got some studying done. I posted my first submission at www.wordsinspired.com (have you checked out our site yet?). I got some work done for the church. I got some work done for the upcoming ladies retreat. Not to mention all of the regular things I do in a day (IE feeding my kids, dressing my kids, taking the kids to school, picking the kids up from school, going to school myself...you get the picture). It always feels good to get a lot done. I love it when I can whittle my to do list down to nothing.

I had a quiz in my history class today. I got nine out of ten. There is always, without fail, that one question that I second guess myself on and get wrong. I really thought one of the questions was a trick question. The wording just didn't seem quite right. That's the one I got wrong. I really hate that. But I am proud to report, for those of you who care, that school is going well. I am managing to keep up on my work and am maintaining good grades in both of my classes.

And now, I am going to give a shout out to my DH, because he deserves it. I won't be mushy, but I will give him props for the following...
*He has seen to it for the past two weeks, that our kids get their medicines (they are each taking at least three).
*He does the dishes.
*He gently prods me to get my blog done.
*He took my boots off for me today when I was too lazy to bend down and do it myself.
*He lets me play couch commando with the remote from time to time.
*He acts like he cares when I tell him about what I am learning about in my classes.
*He tells me I am pretty even without makeup!
There are many other things that my DH is good at. I am very proud of him. I just wanted to say, that these are the things that are really sticking out in my mind today. Thanks James! I love you!

So now it's your turn. Give a shout out to someone in your life who has done something good for you lately (your mom, your friend, your spouse). Who keeps you going? Who helps you out? Chances are, they don't read my blog, but that's okay. Give a shout out to them anyway and then you can tell them you gave them a shout out on my blog. Shout it out in the comments section! You guys are still reading, right?
