It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

I just love Christmas. I love to decorate the house. I love to drive around the neighborhood and see all the lights. Our house has been decorated since the beginning of December, but I added a bit to it today. I had no idea what to do with all of the Christmas cards we have been getting. I didn't really have a way to display them, so today, I got out the garland and lights spray paint and zip ties (of course) and rigged up a little something for a Christmas card display.

So here is the result of my crafty adventure.

Also, I wanted to include a picture of our tree. James and I fell in love around Christmas time and I always think the lights on the tree are so romantic!

Since I was MIA last week, I didn't get to tell you about Elliot's school program. Her preschool put on their annual Christmas program. She got to dress as an angel. She was such a ham. She was singing all the songs and she was so excited to see my grandma there. She kept turning around to point Grandma Thelma out to all of her friends. After the program, the preschool held their annual quilt auction. The quilt squares are made with the hand prints of each child. I bought Preston's his first year of preschool, so I had to have Elliot's her first year of preschool as well. Unfortunately, there was someone who wanted it too, and we got into a little bidding war. But, in the end, I won the auction and I am now the proud owner of another quilt. I cost a pretty penny, but to me, it is priceless.

If you look really close at the picture below, you will see our little angel (?).

It has been raining all day here, and the park in front of our house is filling up with water. It is really cool because the lights on the houses are reflecting off the water. I would love to get a picture of it, but we will see.

Are you feeling in the Christmas spirit yet? Or are you feeling like Scrooge? I honestly am feeling a bit of both, but mostly pretty joyous about the season. I love Christmas! We are only a week away!
