It's Friday

This morning was kind of a crazy morning. I had a lot of running around to do. But, it started with dropping off the kids, which didn't go so smoothly. I dropped Preston off at school. No problems there. It was when I went to drop Elliot off that the problem arose. I walked her into the preschool. We put her lunch on the lunch cart together and then I went to go sign her in. This is the normal routine. While I was back in her classroom signing her in, I heard her wailing in the front room. She came running to the back room sobbing, saying, "Mommy, I miss you." The guilt hit me.
Since Elliot has started staying at preschool all day on Mondays and Wednesdays, she has not wanted to go to school. She was begging to stay home this morning and all of my normal, "Don't you want to get smart?" and "Don't you want to learn to read?" were all met with "NO!"

It was really hard to leave her. I know her schedule has been disrupted by all of my schooling changes this semester.

I went on from there and got all of my errands done. Then I returned home to complete the financial reports for the church's annual business meeting tonight. I am left with a few short minutes, so I thought I would blog to keep my readers happy!

Tonight, Natalie is going to a slumber party for a friend's birthday. I love it when I have a justified excuse for crafting. She has to have a card to take...so I HAVE to make one. After all, it wouldn't make since to go buy one when I have all the stuff to do it here. So yesterday, I escaped to my craft room/office to make a card.

Isn't it cute? Cupcakes are so in right now. I have seen them everywhere. There are cupcake place mats at Target and cupcake pencils and cupcake party stuff and cupcake notepads and....okay you get the point. I have a die for my die cutting machine that cuts these adorable little cupcakes out. Then I embossed the brown one and added ink the to raised swirls, I added glitter to the pink one, and "sprinkles" and icing to the white one. The sprinkles are a chunky glitter, and it's hard to see it, but it has an acrylic glaze over the top which makes it super shiny! Think a thick coat of clear nail polish for the cupcake!

My plans for this weekend include studying for my anatomy test that is coming on Wednesday. It covers five chapters of material and that's a lot in anatomy! I also plan on working on some nutrition homework...yuck! I have yet to finish my three days of logging what I eat. I gave up on it the other day. It really stinks to have to estimate how much a breast of chicken weighs to enter it into the program. I started over again today and I hope to stick with it. I don't want to be scurrying to print my reports out at the last minute. But knowing me, I will be.

Why is it that I am so good about not procrastinating on certain things and terrible about it for other things?!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
