A Cute Preston Story

We got a trampoline for the kids for Christmas and they are loving it, but one issue that we are having is that the children, Preston mainly, likes to throw things from the inside of the trampoline over the net into the yard. The problem with this is that the things he throws often do not end up in our yard. Instead, the end up on the roof or the neighbor's back yard.

Normally this wouldn't be too big of a deal, but with these neighbors, it is a big deal. You see, about a year ago, we had a confrontation about a dog. The relationship has been strained ever since "the incident." In other words, I don't feel like I could ever knock on their door and get these items back.

On with the story...

About a week ago, Preston threw his beanie baby monkey over their fence. And about a week before that, he threw his football over the fence. When he came to me in tears, I told him that he shouldn't have thrown the things out of the trampoline in the first place...a warning I have given him several times.

I figured at this point that the neighbors would find them and just throw them out.

On Saturday, Preston went out into the yard and lo and behold, there on the grass were the monkey and the football. Preston was terribly excited and didn't understand how this could have happened. He ran in declaring the return of his football and his monkey.

"How did they get back?" He asked....and he answered his own question with "I think it must have been God."

Oh to see the little miracles in life as a child sees them!
