Back In The Laundry Business

I don't know that I have anything really important to say tonight. I registered for my summer and fall classes today. I am glad to finally have my schedule nailed down for the summer. If you know me, you know that I am a planner and that I like to have things planned in advance. I have spent the last semester waiting for the summer schedule of classes to come out, then for my turn to register for classes. I wanted to plan for my summer, plan my surgery, plan my fall semester. I guess this is all in my quest for control. I feel a constant need to control what is going on in my life. I guess if I were in therapy they would probably tell me that this is rooted somewhere in my childhood or it goes to some deep seeded self esteem issue. Whatever it may be, it is part of who I am. (Wow, where did all that come from?)

I had my lab exam today and I am really unsure how I did on it. I am trying not to think about it so I don't drive myself crazy. I really would love to email my professor and ask him to email me my grade, but I am trying not to be "that student."

I am already working on studying for my test next week. We have a big one next Wednesday. I would say that I am just looking forward to this semester being over, but I don't know why it really matters. Once this semester ends, I go straight into summer school and I think that is going to be twice as much work as what I am doing now. The great thing about summer school is that I will have my DH home to help and I can throw myself into my school work. I am so thankful that he is really supporting me through all of this. I know I have to be driving him crazy with my obsessive compulsive behavior.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that my washing machine stopped working the other day. Why is it that it always happens and leaves you with a huge load of wet, soggy, smelly laundry. Thankfully my mom came to the rescue and did a couple loads of towels for me. The repair man came today and one of my kids' socks got in the way of the pump and the computer shut down the pump so it wouldn't wear it out. I was relieved to find out that I didn't have to replace anything, after all, the washer is only 15 months old. But, it still cost me $100 to have him come and pull that sock out! Man, am I in the wrong business or what? Now that the washer is back in commission, I have a big day of laundry ahead of me tomorrow.
