I have quite a bit to report today, and the day is just now half over!
First off, an update on Elli. We found out last night that her friend, Adellia, from church broke her arm on the same day that Elli broke her arm! How weird is that? They both have the same type of fracture and both will have their casts on for three weeks. I don't know yet which arm Adellia broke, or which bone, but the fact that it happened just hours apart is so weird. They both got their casts yesterday. I am planning on taking a picture of them together on Sunday at church. I am convinced that this was a plot for an April Fool's Day joke by the two of them. I am not laughing!
Preston got all of the words on his spelling test right this week! He came home from school with some new stickers because he was the only one in his class to get all of them right! I am so proud of that little guy. It's a good thing I drilled him on his words all the way to school this morning. They are starting to get into words that can't easily be sounded out. His words this week were "with" "here" "are" and "said". There is pure genius in his blood....most of the time anyway! There are times that his father and I wonder!
Preston's coach called on Wednesday night and he will be starting practice for his baseball team on Monday night, the same night Natalie has her next game. It looks as though James and I will be playing divide and conquer for the remainder of the season. We have high hopes for Preston and baseball. He's pretty good already. He first picked up a bat at about 18 months, and has been playing in the living room ever since!
I had my once a month nutrition class meeting this month. One more month of this class and I will be done. We will see if I can manage to NOT procrastinate this month. Although, I highly doubt that. There is some block that I have with this class. I am not usually a huge procrastinator, but with this class, I definitely am.
As I was sitting in class this morning, my sinuses starting flaring up again, and by the end of class, I had pain in my muscles, bones, ears and throat. With the weekend coming, I knew I better get in to see the doctor...so I did just that. If you are an avid reader of my blog, you know the diagnosis and the treatment. But for those of you who don't read on a regular basis, I have a sinus infection. I was given a shot of antibiotics (from which I will have a bruise for at least two weeks) as well as oral antibiotics (horse pills).
Despite my illness, I have no time to take it easy. I will try, but the housework is calling, Elli's birthday is coming and my car needs a good scrubbing!
Have a good day!
