T-I-R-E-D

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Today, I believe that is true. This picture of Elliot was taken shortly after noon. We had just returned home from school (all of us go to school on Monday) and she was in the process of eating her chicken dino nuggets. Elliot was what we call "T-I-R-E-D". Often times, we spell out the word tired because if you say you think someone is tired, the kids immediately yell, "I'm not tired!" If I spell it out and say, "I think someone is 'T-I-R-E-D'", they don't know what I am really saying.

We all had a very long weekend and we are all "T-I-R-E-D", myself included. The kids didn't have naps on Saturday or Sunday, and didn't get up at six this morning, as usual. In fact, I had to drag Elli out of bed to get her to preschool on time. I couldn't sleep last night and five o'clock comes pretty quickly when you don't go to sleep until 11 p.m. The kids are down for a nice, hopefully long, nap as I type. Maybe I should have done that instead of typing to my two faithful readers! This picture shows how we are all feeling today!

I turned in yet another paper for "Dr. T's" history class today. I am not feeling so great about this one as I was struggling to focus as I wrote. Hopefully he won't read it too closely and will just grade it based on my previous high quality work. You know, I think teachers do that sometimes. I think they say, "Oh, Ms. Wiley's paper? She is an excellent student and writer. Why waste my time actually reading the paper? I know she knows that material. I'll just give her a ten." Of course, I say this all with the most humble of spirit.

I hope you had a great weekend! I hope you have a great week!

Elliot's Quote of the Day

"My head has broken glass."-said as she pounded the side of her head with her hand.

Carissa's Random Question of the Day-please feel free to share your answer as a comment.

Which season premiere are you most looking forward to?

I am looking forward to just having some good television to watch. I really hate the television "off-season." I also hate that Monday Night Football throws off all of my Monday night shows. If I have to pick one though, I would say Grey's Anatomy. This is my favorite show by far. I am also looking forward to How I Met Your Mother, Smallville (is Lana really dead?), The Bachelor (you know you can't get enough of this either), Desperate Housewives (Wisteria Lane woes). I am still not over The Class getting cancelled! I can't wait to hear all of your responses!

Carissa, I really enjoy your blog. It shows life as it truly is raising small children. So many memories come to my mind and you make me smile.

The Season Premier I am most looking forward to is "24". This is one of my favorite shows and it won't start until January 2008. The next favorite that I am looking forward to has to be.... Grays Anatomy.
