Tonight we did the pumpkin carving. We made a mess of the table, but it was fun. The kids had a great time. We didn't carve our pumpkins last year, so this was Elliot's first experience with pumpkin guts. She didn't like that much. When I finally got the kids convinced, they dug in and helped me clean the guts out. I always loved the feeling of pumpkin goo when I was little. But now, not so much. By the way, the one with the sad face was James' pumpkin.
I had good intentions of taking my kids to the pumpkin patch this year. Preston got a pumpkin at school on Friday. A pumpkin guy brought a ton of pumpkins and gave one to all the kids at school. I wonder if that guy knows how cool the kids think that is. Thanks pumpkin guy! Elliot didn't get a pumpkin at her school though. Anyway, back to the pumpkin patch thing. I love to take my kids there because it makes for great pictures. I just didn't make time to do it this year. So, Elliot and James' pumpkins are grocery store pumpkins. It just isn't the same.
The kids are now watching the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin special. All of our shows are not on tonight due to the Charlie Brown special. That kind of stinks.
Tomorrow night we will be out trick or treating. Elliot will be a cheerleader. Preston is going to be Spiderman. Natalie is going to be a cat. I will be sure to post pictures of my adorable kids for you to see!

Too Cute!!! Can't wait to see the pics of them in their costumes. And, by the way, I am with you on the gum and poop issues. YUK!!! Sometimes I think we have those moments just for attitude checks, or at least I do, and I have had several attitude checks this week . . . I think I failed at least one. (I don't just think, I KNOW I did . . . thank God for forgiveness!) Hugs, Aunt Pat
