Sunday Mornings

I know all of you moms out there will be able to understand this.

Sunday mornings at my house are when the devil comes out in all of us...especially the little one. We go at it every Sunday morning over her hair. I just run a brush through it and you would think that I am ripping her hair out one strand at a time. She always wants her hair the same way. She wiggles and squirms the entire time. Doing Elliot's hair is the bane of my existence on Sunday mornings.

On top of all of this, I have to get Natalie's hair done and argue with Preston about which tie he needs to wear. If I pick out pants and a shirt, no doubt he will want to wear a tie that does not go at all. He takes forever to put his clothes on, so there is no time for him to change his pants and shirt to match the tie that he wants to wear.

Natalie is not generally too big of a challenge, but her hair never does what I want it to do. She has a new haircut that seems to make it even more of an impossibility.

Usually by the time we get to church, between 8:30 and 8:45, we are all tired and miserable. Thank God I have a husband who helps out. He usually gets the little on dressed and monitors the teeth brushing. I am sure without this help heads would roll. I am also thankful that despite the Wiley wars which take place on Sunday mornings before church, God still meets with us.

All of this leads me to the conclusion that the devil is alive and well, especially on Sunday mornings in the Wiley house.

Thanks for listening to my rant!
