What is fluffy and white and soft?

No...not clouds! Our new "hotel" quality towels! When James and I got married, I had towels. We have used those towels since we were married...so our towels are about nine years old. We have been talking about buying new towels for some time because our old towels and beginning to fall apart and get pretty rough. While we were at Costco on Saturday, I find a killer deal on new towels. Six hotel like white towels for 19.99. What a deal! For that price, we bought two packages of new towels. I wouldn't have chosen white if I had a rainbow of colors to choose from, but to get such great quality towels for that price, I can't complain about a stupid thing like color. I finally got the new towels washed and we got to use them today for the first time. They are so fluffy and soft. I kind of felt like that little Snuggle bear from the commercials. The old towels will continue to be used...by the kids.

Today was a good day. I was able to get some laundry and things around the house done this morning. This afternoon, my DH gave me some time to be out by myself, doing one of my favorite things...shopping.

Before I left to go shopping this afternoon, James, the kids and I went for a walk with all of our little dogs. The dogs love to get out of the backyard and we so happy to be walking around sniffing everyones lawns. Buster is too small to collar and leash, so I carried him to the park. I let him down for a few minutes. I was afraid he would run off, but he was content to stay at the sides of Piper and Lady. He only weighs about five pounds, but even that can tire your wrist out after a while. When I got back, my wrist was a little sore from carrying him on our walk. He really wanted down, but that just wasn't an option.

When shopping, I was on a mission. I really need a cream cardigan for over this dress that I have. I had the perfect little sweater for it, but last semester, I threw it in my backpack and a pen exploded on it. I wasn't able to get the ink out and now there is a hole in my wardrobe where a cream cardigan belongs. You really don't know how much you really use something until it is gone. There are several outfits that are out of use while the sweater remains unreplaced. I thought this would be an easy task. It's nothing fancy that I need, just a cream cardigan...but it was nearly impossible to find the replacement. I did end up with a new one...the only cream cardigan that I was able to find. I don't know that I am totally satisfied with my purchase. We shall see.

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday! Since Monday is pretty well over, it's too late to wish it for tonight! So happy Tuesday to YOU!

Just a thought if you need to remove ink from a garment again - sometimes (usually) milk will work. Yep. I doubt it will work on the one that you've tried other things on, but if it is a fresh ink stain, soak the spot in milk. As the ink comes out, renew the milk until the stain is gone. I did this on Indian silk once - worked great!
