Like A Leprechaun....

on a hunt for a pot of gold. That's how I felt today. It's March one of my favorite times of the year for a couple of reasons. My birthday is in March! Yay me! But I also love March because during the month of March, McDonald's usually has their Shamrock Shakes! I love Shamrock Shakes! I went to a couple of different McDonald's today and neither one of them had shamrock shakes! I really can't believe this. What am I supposed to do in March without Shamrock shakes? I love them that much! Two different McDonalds' in Visalia, and no shamrock shake. I actually backed out of one of the drive through lanes because that was the only reason I had stopped in the first place. I bought Elliot a chocolate milk at the other drive through.

Besides my disgust over the lack of luck in shamrock shake hunting, my day has gone rather well.

I am going to be brutally honest about my day. I went to have my eyebrows waxed, to shape them up a bit. As I was laying there, with Elliot climbing across me and the esthetician scraping warm wax across my brows, I remembered something that my sweet little son asked me a couple of weeks ago. "Mommy, why do you have hair on your lip? Only boys are supposed to have a mustache." Oh, the honesty of a child. Immediately I asked the esthetician to wax my upper lip as well! It's not like we are talking thick black hair here. We are talking about peach fuzz. Nevertheless, I could not bear to keep the fuzz over my lip after remembering my son's brutal question. By the way, upper lip waxing hurts way worse than eyebrow waxing!

After the wax job was completed, Elliot and I ran a few errands, which included going to Costco and picking up Preston from school. The school is having a book fair right now, so we went to the library to pick out a book for Preston and Elliot. We also got a new "Fancy Nancy" book, which we collect. This one is Fancy Nancy at the Museum.

I also got the remainder of my nutrition homework done, which is due tomorrow. Technically, I beat the procrastination window by a mile. Had I truly procrastinated to the fullest extent, I would have been working on the homework tomorrow morning in my car before I went to class! Therefore, I officially deem that I have not procrastinated on my nutrition homework this month! (I know you are thinking, "Whatever makes you feel better.")

I am off. I have another beautifying appointment this afternoon. This seems to be the week of beauty...recall, I have had a pedicure, a lip and brow wax and now I am off to have my hair trimmed up. Do you think it has anything to do with the little trip my DH and I will be taking in the near future? You bet it does! Those pictures have to be good.
